Dr. Nafeesa Jalal (She/Her/Hers), Hons. BA, M.Sc., Ph.D

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI-B) are the key to creating long-lasting change within organizations, communities and ultimately in the world. Over the years, Dr. Jalal has worked passionately to embed these concepts into organizations of various sizes and across various sectors. NJ Global Consulting Inc. was established with the mission of helping organizations to build their capacity on DEI-B, cultural humility, anti-racism, and ally-ship. She brings 15 years of experience and a deep passion for this subject-matter.

The firm proudly supports a client base from the public, private, non-profit, and academic sectors, in Canada and globally. Given her PhD in Public Health, health-related organizations have been an important part of the firm’s portfolio, and their clients include two of the largest community hospitals in Canada - Trillium Health Partners and William Osler Health System. The firm is proud to be joined by a team of exceptional subject-matter experts, their Associates. Every organization’s sectoral and individual needs are met by an entire team, as their Associates are involved in all projects and an integral part of all deliverables they provide.  

Outside of the firm, Dr. Jalal is a Lecturer with Seneca College, in their School of Health Sciences and also delivers a large number of business and law courses. She is Certified as a Professional Capacity Builder, Trainer, and Facilitator from the University of Guelph, Canada.

On a personal note, she is of Bangladeshi-Canadian background, Muslim, married and mom to a 2.5 year old daughter (Elyana) and dog (Luna, rescued from Spain!). She has traveled to 84 countries, lived in 12 countries, and speaks 4 languages fluently. Her global life experiences have led to realizing the importance of this work not only in North America but also around the world. Those experiences combined with education and a deep passion for DEI-B have led to establishing this firm.
